Ah Spring!
Winter has passed?
Maybe so, when one looks up
To the trees and see green shoots
And leaves breaking out
To say hello to spring!
The intermittent chirping
And wings darting in and out
Of high leafy perches
Make trees a busy 'burb
And a choir of lofty melodies!
The morning sun greets
Gently and the rains still
Come to wash the air pure
'Tis that time between winter
and heat that make flowrs bud!
Beyond the window scene
Where nature basks in glory
My spirit turns to the scene
Inside my cottage door
I look and see my merry mess!
Spring beauty all around?
Spring duty calls, I've got
To sort, clear and organize
To get another years harvest
Of non-essentials--
to a flea market!
