Snuggling
Raining Man From Heaven
Snuggling
Sometimes when I hold, hug you,
I feel your heart drum in such haste.
Sometimes when I look into your eyes,
I see an affectionate, adoring gaze.
Sometimes when I sniff your body scent,
I am suffused, confused, totally in a daze.
Sometimes when I snuggle up real close,
I wish that you did not have
Such sharp and furry paws.
RAINING MAN FROM HEAVEN
Arms, hands, fingers
Clawing the bodyless air
Clinging like a man
Drowning in mid-air.
Legs, feet, toes,
Treading, swimming
In currents of wind rivers
Eddying, tunneling, funneling.
Limbless lifeless torsos
Plunging like mannequin
Prior to dressing.
A slab, landing with a thud.
One plummeting, diving down,
Like blunt knife plunging onto priest
Ministering to the
Dying,
Soon, himself
Dead.
Heads bobbing
Going hither, neither.
Even-steven
With headless, heartless others
Plotting 9-11?
Media shields us,
Like convent girls,
Sanitizes, blacks out
Cruel deeds of foe.
Is it better:
We do not know?
